book names rather than author name

earlier this forum used to have books name followed by authors name

now only authors name is there which makes it hard to find new and interesting books.
it has become quite cumbersome to find new books.
please go back to the original layout.

I guess this is something we all agreed for and over the time all the sharers started this as it was easier for some of us.

Maybe it can changed, must ask other users about this I think

Isn't the original layout in the long-established and well-documented uploading Rules requiring threads by author?
For example, there could be many titles with the word "Cicero". If one was under an author "Anthony Everitt" thread, it might be easier to find your particular title.
If we read the Quick Guide in the same thread right below the Rules, we find alternate Search tips that work.

The concept of a single thread relating to an author's name has worked for a long time and avoided duplicate uploads. Scrolling to the bottom of a given thread has historically and conveniently shown the newest releases.

Most importantly, thnx for being a contributor with your uploads. This site would not survive with only leechers.

I can't seem to find my post/PM now, but a looooong time back, I had requested for thread titles to include book titles. Presumably it was shot down. Contrary to common wisdom, of not judging a book by its cover, I discovered many good books by their title. I'm not aware of every author under the sun and then there are new and upcoming authors as well. I enjoy discovering such authors and I did discover authors I had never read before or who didn't have many bestsellers under their belt. Opening threads with unrecognizable author names held no appeal for me. Anyways, I guess the wisdom of posters prevails.
