Firstly, welcome to the forum

Don't worry about being a bigger member or a member with higher points - You can contribute at whichever level you are in - Post responsible stuff, share good books (when you get to the readers level), participate actively. As you start participating more, your points (basically thanked by others) will increase. This is not going to happen overnight.

I am a newbie here... Joined just a month back, so I may not know all the rules about the points, et.all... But why do you want to get more points ? I mean, you don't get anything per se by getting more points/etc. Aim at participating actively, that will be a good start!
