The investigation into the death of Marielle Franco , a city councilor in Rio de Janeiro murdered onMarch 14, continues slowly, because "men of the state" areinvolved in the murder . Thestatement was made by the Brazilian security minister, Raul Jungmann . Asked about the delay in investigations intothe death of Marielle ,an activist and radically opposed to the use of the army to fight crime in thecity, Jungmann saidthat "it is a very complex case. What I can say is that this murderinvolves both sectors of crime, state bodies as well as politicalrepresentation bodies ".
Jungmann he did not reveal the names of the suspectsresponsible for Marielle's death ,nor did he confirm that a former policeman and ex-firefighter arrested lastweek were responsible for the murder .
According to local media, a councilor from the Humanist Solidarity Party ( PHS ) and a former police officerwho is part of a paramilitarymilitia could have been the bosses.
